AG’s Trump Raid Means ‘Lawyer Up’ Dem Joes?

AG Garland came out of 3 days of hiding after his Trump raid to say nothing except to lecture America “no one’s above the law” SO he established NEW precedent “no one’s above the law, including Bidens, Clintons & Obamas”?

That’s essentially the conclusion of the WSJ’s Kimberley Strassel who warns “Payback for Mar-a-Lago Will Be Brutal – What went around Monday will come around for the Democrats when Republicans control the Justice Department & FBI.” She elaborated on exactly how “dangerous” the DOJ head’s move was on “the Republic” writing: “In descending on Mar-a-Lago, the department and the FBI investigation shifted the US into the category of countries [aka Banana Republics] whose ruling parties use government power to investigate political rivals...” On Friday, WSJ reported "11 sets" of classified documents were obtained from Trump's home while his lawyers said the ex-president had already "declassified" them.

So, here we go again with the finger pointing. Considering, as Fla. AG Pam Biondi noted, all Garland had to do instead of a stunt-like RAID was file as usual a simple motion to compel with the judge who issued the RAID. But, recall that somehow, it took the calculating Garland 3 days to ask the judge to issue the RAID, then, 3 more days after he had unleashed a firestorm of protest to remind the people of the Rule of Law he had arguably ignored. Why? Ms. Strassel concluded, “Not even the Justice Dept. is so simple minded … Mr. Garland breezed past all … [DOJ guidelines and] history … in his ‘equal under the law” statement” in apparent hopes such a Hail Mary might persuade a majority of Americans to reject Trump again in 2024. He did so, Strassel reminds, “even as he expressed outrage that anyone might mistrust the department & the bureau that brought us the Steele dossier & the Carter Page wiretaps … Let’s see how that holds when a future Republican Justice Dept. starts raiding the homes of Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Eric Holder, James Comey & John Brennan.”
