AI Preying On Weak Minded Americans?

Tucker’s chat with Elon warns of AI’s impact on elections & how AI chatbot “hallucinations” can perpetuate political falsehoods, biases that have rewritten American history. But are we robots or still capable of discernment?

Would Abraham Lincoln still say something like, “AI can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time”? Clearly, Musk isn’t so sure. In calling for US oversight, he told the Fox News host, “Things are getting weird … fast” and Uncle Sam should have a “contingency plan in place to shut down AI server farms if the technology does go rogue” on us. According to the Tesla-Space X-Twitter billionaire, there are bad and/or naïve actors who are right now “training AI to lie”. Fox News says its random searches, in fact, suggest “The same biases & outright lies that reshaped academia over the last 50 years & infected the American body politic with division are endemic throughout versions of historical events perpetuated by OpenAI’s generative platform ChatGPT.”

Hoover Institution’s Victor Davis Hanson agreed: “Artificial Intelligence will simply reflect & magnify the mindset & ideology of its creators – and impress those values upon the rest of us.” If so, shame on Americans for becoming so weak minded?
