America on Brink of Collapse or Finest Hour?

Fox Nation pushes envelope in 3-parter “American Requiem” arguing “unrecognizable” USA is “on brink of collapse” as it warns we’re “turning on our own legacy.” Hasn’t an indomitable will to live seen us thru worse before?

Think the supposedly hopeless Revolution for Independence from the mighty British Empire; overcoming the seemingly hopeless requirement for unanimous consent to establish a new country on the unprecedented principle that “all men are created equal” (albeit at the hypocritical appeasement of southern states that demanded its inhuman slave “institution” be codified into a Constitution); the loss of as many as 700K men in a bloodier than hell Civil War that reinvented as well as saved the union from its own miserable slave-riddled birth; the nasty “reconstruction effort after Lincoln was assassinated & pitted American against American as the Jim Crow counter-revolutionary effort took root; the sinful treatment of Native American Indian Nations, who were too easily exploited thanks in part to their own warring against one another as well as white settlers & also at times practicing slavery; the assimilation of millions of ethnic whites, Hispanics & Asians into a “Melting Pot” that replaced the “freed” slaves; the dastardly sneak attack by Japan on Pearl Harbor that drew us into WWII & wasn’t ended until it thousands of civilians were disintegrated by single bomb.

Fox asks, “Is America dying before our eyes” like the once mighty Greek & Roman Empires? What’s left of the British Empire, one might ask as well. Are WE next? The signs are there: “Skyrocketing inflation, political division, social unrest & a relentless effort to wipe away the fundamental principles of the nation.” Perhaps. Yet, like the WWII song reminded: “We did it before and we will do it” … aka not only survive but prosper … “again”.
