Are Climate Scientists Disconcerted Deniers?

Fox op ed “Is this the greatest ripoff in American history?” Qs why “America has spent $100B of your money on climate change” while “achieving absolutely nothing”? Denier hyperbole? Or, Inconvenient Truth?

Author Stephen Moore ends his piece by arguing “President Joe Biden & his green allies should be arrested for criminal fraud.” That’s the hyperbole part of his opinion piece. But, more persuasive is Moore’s beginning that cites the latest “science”: “For at least the last 20 yrs, politicians in Washington, at the behest of green energy groups, have spent some $100 billion of taxpayer money to fight climate change & reduce greenhouse gas emissions. How’s that going so far? A recent Associated Press story, based on the latest data on global carbon emissions, provides a pretty accurate report card [by concluding] Carbon Dioxide Emissions Reached a Record High in 2022.” In that AP story we’re told “Communities around the world emitted more carbon dioxide in 2022 than in any other year on records dating to 1900, a result of air travel rebounding from the pandemic and more cities turning to coal as a low-cost source of power …”

In other words, while the USA spent record amounts of money to “transition” entire industries & our life styles into alt-energy sources & away from fossil fuels, the rest of the world is enriching itself by pouring more fossil fuel gases into the atmosphere than John Kerry can shake his private jet at. Mr. Moore concludes you “got to almost shriek out loud” when you hear how climate scientists told the AP they are “disconcerted” about this reality. So, who’s the deniers?
