Baby Formula Shortage Simple As A B(iden) C?

Fox’s Katie Pavlich says “a big govt scandal is brewing” in the baby formula shortage as Nat’l Review calls out Biden for insisting he isn’t a “mind reader” & couldn’t see the Abbott-FDA regulatory fiasco coming while mouth piece Psaki said “we’ve been working on this for months”.

In its “What Caused the Baby Formula Shortage,” the WSJ’s editorial board is quite blunt: The “real culprit is govt policies that have limited formula options … [such as] … tariffs, government labeling rules and state welfare monopolies” granted to a few big companies, including Abbott. They argue all this big govt tom-foolery ”played major roles” in the foreseeable present day results.

But, as Pavlich also notes, the Biden team also appears to have been “caught off guard,” then, mismanaged yet another avoidable crisis since it knew early on Abbott Labs manufactures nearly 40% of the nation’s baby formula, but that one of its key plants was shut down upon reports several babies had become ill after ingesting its product. The WSJ says the FDA did its duty in warning consumers but, Pavlich notes, it had already “shut down” inspections during the COVID pandemic, thereby delaying the regulatory process in this case by as much as 3 months. Meanwhile, a CDC investigation cleared the suspect plant quickly enough, but the red-tape lingered on; and besides, in the real world, a shutdown plant can’t just be turned on again as if a light switch. In short, Joe may not be able to read minds but knows how to read a teleprompter?
