Beef Prices Mooving Higher Than A Kite?
Cattle farmer warns plunging beef supply has reached a crisis point & “Americans are going to pay the price.” And you wonder why a pound of 80% hamburger costs $5 & a scrawny angus steak upwards of $20?
“This is a bad situation for America’s cattle farmers & America because we’re producing 1 billion pounds less beef than we were in this country, just a year ago,” John Boyd, president of the National Black Farmers Assn told Fox News. According to the USDA, nationwide beef cattle inventory dropped to 28.2 million or down 2% from a year ago, the lowest level since the 1970s. “We’re not investing in America’s beef & cattle farmers & Biden policies are hurting America’s cattlemen, such as myself.” Mr. Boyd, of course, is referring to the panoply of green government policies now in vogue that include a stiff prejudice against Americans eating beef products because they supposed hurt the environment … and not just because of farting cows.
According to Fox, the experts are predicting that beef prices will climb even more over the next few years as demand keeps growing. Apparently, most Americans are ignoring the pleas from green advocates to eat veggie burgers.
