Biden Does Nada At Warp Speed As Trumpets Bloom
Quick. Which pundit said on election night a President Biden “would be smart to do nothing for the next 6 months”? Doesn’t matter. WSJ’s Kimberley Strassel assured in a recent op ed that Joe got the message and is doing you know what.
“Rather than reopen classrooms,” Ms. Strassel noted, “the new president coasts on his predecessor’s [Covid-19 Warp Speed] work…[after all] handling a pandemic is hard work. Lucky for Joe Biden, he’s discovering his predecessor did most of the heavy lifting to,” in his own campaign talking points, “get control of the virus that’s ruined so many lives.” Ala an old shoe out of a new box?
The WSJ editor asks exactly what has Mr. Biden & Team done for virus “control” other than to gripe about “having to start all over”? That’s what a lot of folks would like to know. “Logistically,” Ms. Strassel concludes, “it would seem Mr. Biden inherited a fine plan after all. In the few areas where he might actually force improvement—notably reopening schools—the president has whiffed.”
