All Joe did was mention at a cocktail party that the US has “not faced the prospect of Armageddon” in 60 years. People listened. People blabbed. Social media went nuts. But, read the WH mouthpiece’s lips as she spoke to a gaggle of reporters on Air Force One: “We have not seen any reason to adjust our own strategic nuclear posture, nor do we have indications that Russia is preparing to imminently use nuclear weapon & see no indication Russia is prepping nukes.” But, as far as the nuclear fall-out triggered by her bosses’ big mouth, she added it’s Putin’s fault: “The kind of irresponsible rhetoric we have seen is no way for the leader of a nuclear-armed state to speak & that’s what the president was making very clear.”

O-K. T-H-A-T I-S G-O-O-D T-O K-N-O-W. A whole bushel full of folks could have sworn Mr. Biden’s needless, off-handed rhetoric in response to Mr. Putin’s irresponsible rhetoric was a tad irresponsible.
