Biden No Mr. Smith & Illinois’ Dick Flips On Filibuster

Joe Biden must never have seen 1939’s “Mr. Smith Goes To Washington” … or he wouldn’t have sent his wink & nod in support of Dems wanting to end the traditional filibuster rule so they can ram home their leftist agenda.

Slowly, but surely, the radicals are wearing down the Dem senators who still have a spine. The Profiles in Courage W Va Senator Joe Manchin is suddenly saying “no…but” to the rads. And, now the senator from the Land of Lincoln, “Dick” Durbin, says the filibuster should be abolished after insisting (when Trump was in the WH) that killing the minority’s number one weapon to have its say on new legislation proposed by the majority, “would be the end of the Senate.”

You’ll recall how the naïve Jefferson Smith is appointed by a spineless governor to fill a vacancy in the U.S. Senate & his plans to build a boys camp back home with federal funds collides with a mentor who happens to have a corrupt plan for Jefferson’s site. The novice won’t back down & takes to filibustering the mentor’s scheme. Good thing because the folks back home are sick & tired of The Swamp’s misuse of their tax monies. Maybe 78-year old Joe should watch the movie, even if it was made before he was born.
