Biden’s Carrot/Stick Iran Policy Teasing Wrong Camel?

Not sure what to make of President Biden’s air strikes on Iranian Militias in Iraq or the WSJ’s “Militias Threaten Revenge”. What’d ya expect? Ask the Israelis.

How many times had PM Netanyahu warned of Iranian ambitions throughout the Arab world & its funding of terrorists as well as militant militias? And, how many times have those implacable foes of the West “provoked” a response such as Biden’s with crotch-kicking attacks on Israeli, US & Nato peace-keeping forces? It’s almost as if every militiaman & terrorist in the Middle East is a wuss who wears rose colored glasses while insisting “the devil makes us do it.” Of course, Mr. Biden & his handlers will say the latest strikes “highlight the challenge facing” the Administration “as it attempts to deter attacks by paramilitaries without provoking an escalation.” But, how many times has ANY “measured response” had a game-changing effect on the guerrilla warfare playing out going on decades now? Especially, when the usual follow up has been a new set of steak knives for the murderers?

Maybe Biden’s old-fashioned Swamp carrot & stick “strategy” might better be dubbed “Kicking the Can Down the Endless Camel Trail”? Whatever happened to the landmark Trump initiative in which several Arab nations finally agreed to acknowledge Israel sovereignty & put real pressure on Iran to reign in its Reign of Terror? What next? Another “I didn’t really mean it” planeload of cash headed to Tehran?
