Biden’s Inflationary ‘Tax ‘n Spend” 2B Whammy

The WSJ’s “How to Make Spending Unpopular” argues the Build Back Better spending spree is being trashed by folks because they know inflationary excess when they see it at the pump & grocery store, while another op ed notes how states' LOVE the pandemic’s revenue windfall from the taxpayers' pockets. Concluded the WSJ: “The Biden Democrats may be achieving the impossible” by piggishly treating taxpayers as a piggy bank. Oink?

First, the pandemic’s impact. The editors say “state & local governments have never had so much dough” since “tax revenues” have soared “23% above pre-pandemic levels” thanks to inflated incomes. Warned the WSJ: “But, don’t expect them to be frugal spenders” … or to cut the related, inflated individual tax bills that were already seen as forever-rising.

Meanwhile, the editors call Biden’s multi-trillion dollar plans another “revenue windfall,” only for Uncle Sam & regardless or its real impact on citizens, since even “government checks can’t make up for the rising cost of living." Yet, Joe doubles down on this double whammy?
