Bizarre Biden Plan Bets US Future On Saudis & Maduro

WSJ may have said it best in “Biden’s Bizarre Oil Diplomacy” that “courts Venezuela & the Saudis, but not US or Canadian producers.” Joe’s plan to snuff out global warming comes first like his plan to snuff out Covid-19, even if impossible or bankrupts us all.

As the paper’s editorial board noted: “President Biden is scrambling to contain soaring oil prices, which closed at more than $123 a barrel on Monday. It speaks volumes about this Administration that it’s seeking help from Vladimir Putin’s client in Venezuela and our estranged Saudi allies rather than US shale producers or our Canadian friends.” You’ll recall the Trump Administration in 2019 sanctioned Venezuela’s state oil company in an effort to topple Nicolas Maduro’s thug regime that’s all but bankrupted his once rich nation. Meanwhile, Venezuela “continues to pump about 880K barrels a day with help from Russia & Iran. The Venezuelan has returned the favor by supporting Mr. Putin’s war on Ukraine & denouncing the West’s ‘economic war’ against the Russian people.” Still, Mr. Biden is weighing a lifting of those Trump sanctions. To what good end? Does Joe ever get tired of being snookered by every dictator on the planet? Including the Saudis who have consistently told Mr. Biden they’re NOT going to increase oil production (because it would hurt Putin who’s become a Middle East power broker & is more scary than No. 46)?

Concluded the WSJ: “Mr. Biden should never have alienated the Saudis [let alone suddenly kissed Maduro’s butt], but we’d be much better off if he simply encouraged US energy production. Shale producers can increase production twice as fast as Venezuelan oil companies, and the profits would go to US workers & SHs rather than another dictatorship.”
