Boggling Byzantine Biden Business Model
GOP’s early report on “The Biden Family Business” not only suggests Team Joe wet their beaks in an influence peddling scheme spanning years, but giving unprecedented happy endings to members’ private parts.
It’s the sheer size of the Byzantine family biz that Fox contributor Greg Jarrett called “mindboggling” as it encompasses more than a score of shell companies, thousands of transactions totaling millions of dollars from foreign “investors” into their checking accounts, which were then passed on to an array of family members, even grandkids … all without a whiff of providing services to those “investors.” It’s almost as if they followed Capone’s Outfit’s model.
As a WSJ editorial also pointed out, the House report “shows how Hunter & relatives profited while Joe was VP,” thereby debunking the president’s insistence these seemingly mindless family “business” transactions occurred when he wasn’t VP. It also begs two questions Mr. Biden can no longer ignore: Was bribery for influence benefiting you know who involved at any time to any extent? Was this Byzantine operation nothing more than a lawyer-led money laundering scheme to cover it all up? True, there’s still no “smoking gun” directly fingering No. 46. Yet, as the WSJ opines, it’s become obvious “it’s good to be related to Joseph Robinette Biden … [and] … the main family business appears to be influence peddling.” Even President Lincoln once said in helping out a former-law partner, what’s the use of being president if you can’t help a needy friend out with a job.” And as the WSJ also conceded, “the Bidens have a right to make a living.” But Mr. Lincoln also said, “if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.” And, the WSJ adds, the GOP House Cte isn’t done “and we shall see where the money trail leads,” even if it leads into Mr. Biden’s back pocket.
