Book Trumps Charles In Reality Check

King Charles once asked if Trump “seemed detached from reality” for criticizing Kate Middleton’s nude sunbathing indiscretion, but new book also says His Highness expects toothpaste squeezed onto a toothbrush for him?

Newsweek tells us such anecdotal poop is revealed in in Christopher Andersen’s “The King: The Life of Charles III” to be published Tuesday. You might recall how then-presidential candidate Donald Trump had tweeted back in 2012: “Kate Middleton is great – but she shouldn’t be sunbathing in the nude – only herself to blame” for the pic showing up in a French tabloid. A butler is quoted as recounting how the future King and sons reacted with a “torrent of profanity.” Later, Andersen maintains, Charles was known to ask those Americans familiar with the elected President Trump whether it was likely he’d be impeached and once commented, “Trump seems to be detached from reality, doesn’t he?” The two have met & are said to have a good “working relationship.”

Yet, Andersen doesn’t spar Charles’ own personal quirks and calls him “one of the most eccentric sovereigns Great Britain ever had.” For instance, he not only alleges the King had his valet squeeze out his toothpaste onto a monogrammed toothbrush for him, but shave him & help put on his pants & shoes after hand-washing his underpants. Moreover, Charles is claimed to have brought his nanny out of retirement to mend his childhood teddy bear. How real is that? Dunno. But, I recall giving up my Gorgeous George monkey when I was two years old. BTW, the Smithsonian recently rejected my gratuitous GG donation …
