But For Unwitnessed Fall & Grace of God, Bob Saget RIP

Autopsy says Comedian Bob Saget died in his sleep from “brain bleed” most likely due to some kind of previous blow to the head, maybe from an “unwitnessed fall.” It happens. My neighbor’s 21-yr-old son in otherwise good health died so. On this Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, let’s pray it never happens to a loved one & some Angel watches over them if it does.

Not that the old wives tale about never sleeping with a concussion hasn’t been debunked by medical researchers. Yet, they say the danger of going to sleep concussed is that there might be no one around to help if and when a brain bleed suddenly, unexpectedly occurs, as it appears to have done in Mr. Saget’s case. Btw, no drug or alcohol was found in his blood.

As the WSJ noted: “Best known for his acting tenure on the TV comedy “Full House” … Mr. Saget was staying at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando while doing his “I Don’t Do Negative Comedy Tour.” His death drew an outpouring of reaction, with star comedians and actors noting Mr. Saget’s kindness and humor. He [had] performed in Orlando the Friday before he died and in Ponte Vedra Beach outside of Jacksonville the next day. Deputies were summoned on Jan. 9 to the Ritz-Carlton … after Mr. Saget’s now mourning family was unable to reach him and had asked staff to check on him.” There, Mr. Saget was found unresponsive in his bed. RIP.
