Butcher Joe Guts Medicare Advantage?

Joe’s dirty election year tricks include saying GOP is going to “gut” Medicare if not Social Security while HE IS ACTUALLY DOING IT, at least, by cutting payments to Medicare Advantage plans half our seniors prefer.

Says a WSJ op ed: “No doubt [Mr. Biden] hopes seniors don’t notice that his Administration recently cut payments to Medicare Advantage plans, which will lead to higher patient costs & reduced benefits.” Joe’s “plan” of course it to have irate seniors somehow blame Trump & the GOP he leads now, then, abandon the health plans – which are administered by private insurers with the help of govt subsidies & offer additional benefits like dental & vision care as well as lower out of pocket costs like prescriptions. The WSJ suggests, government “progressives oppose Medicare Advantage because they dislike private market competition & want the government to control all of healthcare.” You know, they’re Back to the Future via their backdoor tactics with their Canadian “single payer” mode aka Big Brother HealthCare.

Whatever. Last year, the Administration restricted plan marketing & cut payments to insurers about 1.1% and “Now the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is clipping insurer base payments by another 0.16%, which will take effect next year.” Of course, the costs will be passed on as always to the seniors, many of whom will be forced to give up their Medicare Advantage advantages. If that’s not called trying to “gut” existing Medicare benefits what is?
