California Docs Seen Not Heard

So California’s latest pc law tells doctors they must agree with latest medical “orthodoxy” or their careers can be autopsied? If this ain’t unconstitutionally vague & destined to be nixed by courts nothing is …

In the WSJ’s “California to Doctors: Agree With Us or Shut Up” we learn the progressive state now empowers a medical board to punish “misinformation.” The hypocrisy as well as attempt to squash free speech among doctors is seen, the paper suggests, in Gov. Gavin Newsom’s “splash this summer in running ads in Florida that claimed ‘freedom is under attack in your state.’ The ads should have aired in his own state, which is the land of lockdowns & mask mandates. [Now, thanks to] a new state law, doctors may even be punished for disputing the government’s public-health orthodoxy.”

As we learned during the Covid pandemic, the WSJ opines “these experts are often wrong and loath to admit it.” Still, the new law says it’s ok for a state medical board (7 out of 15 of which aren’t even physicians) to discipline licensed doctors who “contradict scientific consensus.” Of course, it’s a non sequitur & this law on its face will not likely stand a serious court challenge.
