California Po’ Now Dreamin’ They Had Guns 4 Defense

Fox reports “Black LA residents lack access to guns as wealthy rush to buy up firearms amid crime wave,” yet what did anyone expect when progressive “gun control by zip code reform” laws pushed the price of & access to defensive guns beyond the Hollywood stars?

For instance, as crime in LA has not only reach epidemic proportions, but “seeped into the wealthiest neighborhoods,” residents have “flocked to Beverly Hills’ only gun store … arming themselves as a last-ditch effort for protection, even though the city has a long track record of supporting liberal policies and gun control. Problem is, says political activists like Maj Toure, the wealthy can still get the fewer guns available easily enough, while “the areas that have the most crime have the most restrictive gun laws” making it near impossible for the poorest to protect themselves.

Geneva Solomon, the co-owner of Black-owned Redstone Firearms in LA County’s Burbank, opined “the gun control laws here are set up and intended to disproportionately affect those within the minority communities” needing the most protection. She noted how California’s process for getting a concealed carry permit is way too complicated and expensive for most inner city folk. “If the single parent is walking home and can’t prove they’re ‘important’ by having money or high-value items taken from them,” it is most often an impossible “just cause” acid licensing test to overcome. Is California’s so-called reform mania really “gun control by ZIP code?” Ms. Solomon says she thinks so.
