California Pols Fiddle As LA Burns

The WSJ’s editorial board also said as much in its recent piece titled, “California’s Climate Time for Choosing.” The op ed particularly noted now “Sacramento tilts at reducing temperatures while its cities burn from failure to adapt to a variable climate.” Unfortunately, Democrats will continue to blame the LA blazes on the changing climate, which the WSJ labelled “a convenient excuse as citizens rage against the failures of state & local government.” If only they’d rethink reality, the editors urged, since “the evidence doesn’t support the climate explanation” … indeed, if they’d look at their almanacs, they might awaken to the fact that “California has had a dry climate and Santa Ana winds, even with hurricane-force gusts on occasion, for CENTURIES.”

It's simple, really. If the Democrats in California believe their own climate hysteria, “why not spend money in useful ways rather than on green-energy transition to nowhere?”
