Can Joe Bribe Cuba & Nix China Spy Deal?

US intel suggests China is offering Cuba “several billion dollars” to “host” a secret spy base that could target our nearby military bases, perhaps DC’s Pentagon. Is this as bad as Cuban Missile Crisis? Does JRB have the chops of a JFK?

No, BUT. And, HELL, NO. China having an unprecedented electronic eavesdropping ability just 100 miles from Florida may not be as immediate a threat as dozens of Russkie nuclear warheads back in Fidel’s hay day. (In that instance, war was averted by the USSR backing down & the US taking back some of its missiles in Turkey pointed at you know who.) But, consider how extensive the US military, space AND Intelligence operations are in the East … from Langley to the Pentagon to Quantico to Yorktown to Norfolk to Cape Canaveral to all those inland but nearby military bases that were once named after Confederate Civil War Generals … and the long-term, long range impact could be HUGE.

The National Security Council’s John Kirby wouldn’t confirm the report, but told the WSJ: “While I cannot speak to this specific report, we are well aware of – and have spoken many times to – the People’s Republic of China’s efforts to invest in infrastructure around the world that may have military purposes, including in this hemisphere.” No kidding. And, we DO have bases pretty darn close to China’s own back door. Does Joe have a plan? He’s been good at bribing voters, e.g., unilaterally forgiving $300-$980 billion in student loan debt, a staggering amount that would keep Cuba in fine fiddle for years to come & out of the clutches of China’s Xi. Meanwhile, ex-UN Ambassador & presidential candidate Nikki Haley Tweeted: “Joe Biden needs to WAKE UP to the real Chinese threats on our doorstep.” So how much more of our hush money does Joe want to spend to make this go away, too?
