Can Princeton Cancel Tenured Prof 2d Time?

Progressive academic hypocrisy grows like weed, er, ivy at Princeton as WSJ says the U “targets a dissenting prof” who, in turn, says it “fed me to the Cancel Culture Mob.” Tenured Joshua Katz, fired a 2d time, claims 2b Jeopardy.

In an op ed, Prof Katz explains why his kind of tree can no longer grow in that institution of “higher” education thanks to you know what: “The university [now] claims it fired me for a long-past offense [i.e., a consensual relationship with a 21-yr-old student – for which I was already punished – but the truth should worry everyone … Why would one of the country’s leading educational institutions do this to a successful faculty member who once mad a grave mistake … and served his time without complaint? … I was the first on campus … publicly criticizing a number of ‘antiracist’ demands, some of them clearly racist & illegal, that hundreds of my colleagues had signed on to in an open letter to the administration in early July 2020.”

Maybe there’s some legal help yet for the newly castigated and shunned Prof Katz that can save his job now being threatened a second time. As NY Times reports, a mediator recently ordered University of Central Florida to reinstate a longtime tenured prof who was fired for alleged racist tweets dealing with what he called “black privilege.” Why? Something about a university supposedly encouraging “free speech” not cancelling it. Even in privileged Princeton? Stay tuned.
