Caviezel’s Passion Is To DECIDE To Be Good
Who talks like this any more? Let alone in Hollywood? But Jim Caviezel’s Road Less Travelled is to shed a little of “God’s light” on the world through his acting & includes calling out Christianity for becoming “so weak & useless.”
The Fox News story began as a sort of insider’s take on the newly-released “Sound of Freedom”, which is a deep, if controversial, dive into “a former federal agent working to save children from human trafficking.” Caviezel plays the lead role. And big news was that it arguably outgrossed “Indiana Jones” during July 4 holiday, depending on how the numbers are crunched. But, almost irresistibly, the coverage repeatedly turned back to the “Passion of Christ” star’s passionate faith in … God. “I mean,” Caviezel explained, “modern day Christians are more afraid of the devil than they are of God … [who] … could destroy the devil without a glance, but He looks to us to make a decision.” But, Americans especially, he suggests, have winked at today’s woke agenda to eliminate God in our religion & universities, which has led to “moral decay” in society. “So, you have moral decay everywhere … laws don’t mean anything anymore. We don’t have free speech any more. You’re absolutely destroyed everywhere [if you speak your mind] and the media throws out everybody’s a racist.”
Caviezel noted how he is often painted as “controversial” but literally doesn’t give a damn. “I may not have any friends around me when this is over, but I’ll have [God] … When I do leave this earth, at least, I gave the best I could for my Father in Heaven. And I want the world to know I love Him.” One thing Caviezel undoubtedly has in this frustrating world is a uniquely growing list of inspired acting credentials, from “Count of Monte Cristo” to “Person of Interest” to “Paul, Apostle of Christ,” to “Passion of Christ” (‘Resurrection” release expected in Spring, 2024) to “Sound of Freedom.” In all these works, Caviezel emphasized, he wants to assure others there’s still such a thing as “moral redemption”; with “Freedom” he’s hoping to “inspire” folks to “make a decision,” take action, against the evil of trafficking.
