CDC: Covid Deaths Near Million

The CDC says the US is nearing ONE MILLION COVID-19 DEATHS while Joe Biden & Co. keeps telling us what a swell job his bureaucratic minions have done in trying to stamp out the disease, unlike the Trump minions?

This is not to assess “blame” for the disease itself, a constantly mutating virus, on Mr. Biden or Mr. Trump or even Communist China, where it originated. Yet, as the WSJ coverage noted: “Slightly more than two years after recording its first Covid-19 death, the U.S. is about to cross a once-unthinkable threshold … [AND] … The pandemic’s overall [990K] toll has been concentrated among the elderly, especially those in nursing homes …” The horrific stat: THREE QUARTERS of the dead were over 65 years of age. (Thank God for Operation Warp Speed vaccines, which helped moderate this death dynamic among the elderly.)

In other words, the always lecturing global health community KNEW from the get go (i.e., at least, they repeatedly warned us about) how our AT RISK populations (including those already unhealthy as well as vulnerable Blacks & Hispanics) were, well, most at risk of death from Covid, while the large majority of those coming down with the disease were not (& many would even be asymptomatic). AND YET, how much time, money & resources was (and still is in many places) dedicated to shot gun, universal, and ultimately not so effective gov’t mandated lockdown measures that other recent credible studies say created problems (sometimes deadly) of their own? You’d think gov’t & the health care community … with the CDC at the center of it all … would have learned, united & adapted our policies to REALLY focus on these AT RISK populations?
