CDC, DC Ease Covid Masking Rules Til SOU Aired?

Disgrace or coincidence the CDC & DC mayor eased their Covid mask guidelines just in time for President Biden’s State of the Union speech? Now we can enjoy Joe’s grin every time he winks at Bernie Sanders & GOPers grimace every time No. 46 claims dubious “victory” over Covid, criminals & creeps?

The CDC tells us it’s easing its guidelines on Covid masking … EVEN in schools … to reflect decreased risks, big drop in cases & ongoing mitigation efforts. Instead, the agency’s draconian guidelines will now focus on minimizing severe disease & especially for those in the high-risk population.

Yet, the timing is remarkably fortuitous for Mr. Biden & the Democrats in Congress, many of whom, have notoriously been photographed violating the CDC’s masking requirements at sporting events, plush restaurants & even school functions. And, wasn’t it obvious from the get go that the nation’s “focus” needed to be on minimizing the virus’ severity, especially for its elderly, diabetics, those with existing respiratory issues, & immune-challenged others? BTW: CDC warns the masking rules might be reinstituted should the “science” so indicate they should … but, not before Mr. Biden finishes his speech.
