CDC Sanitizer Advice Need Update As Eczema Spikes?
Remember the fervent warnings from the MSM & CDC how over use of sterilizing hand gels was endangering the people by reducing their own bodies’ ability to fight germs naturally? Then, came the Covid pandemic & all that was forgotten; so much so, businesses were urged to go all out to re-stock their shelves with the stuff.
Well, recently noticed was a birdie.com story on how hand sanitizers were causing a “huge” spike in eczema cases & now the WSJ reports “Retailers Couldn’t Stock Hand Sanitizer Fast Enough. Now They Can’t Give It Away.” Summed up the newspaper: “Once nearly impossible to find [due to pandemic-induced shortages], bottles of sanitizer are now taking up shelf space and stores are trying promotions to get rid of them; ‘It’s worth more to us gone’.”
Maybe what’s needed is for us to kill two birds with one stone. Folks, grab the cheap sanitizers while they last and before another shortage occurs; then, wait for the oft-waffling CDC to issue revised guidance on sanitizer use during the pandemic. For now, the agency is advising to “put enough sanitizer on your hands to cover all surfaces [&] rub your hands together until they feel dry” … presumably, short of your skin coming off. They can do better than the mask fiasco?
