Chicago Teachers Owe Black Kids Reparations?

Nero blamed the Christians as Rome burned & Chicago’s Democratic Mayor Johnson can’t cover up blue city’s stench so he’s blaming the white devils & demanding “reparations.” Even Joe’s Depends couldn’t hide the truth more revealingly.

And, what is the “truth”? That DEMOCRATS have controlled the city since WWII and blacks have voted them into power as regularly as an Edison light bulb. It’s the Dems who have had control over the whole smash: taxes, the police, the fire dept. & the mafia. Then, there’s the “schools.” [Drum roll.] Being a South Side alum of the Chicago Public Schools, I can attest they are putrid in the black neighborhoods & toilet bowl worthy in the white areas. And yet, as if the WSJ editors needed to remind us, “Chicago is trotting out its progressive bona fides before the Democratic National Convention in August & the latest fashion statement is slavery reparations … The mayor’s office blames systemic racism for issues including vacant lots, policing failures, industrial pollution & a homeownership gap. [It] has the highest black unemployment rate among the country’s 15 largest cities & the widest black-white employment gap. That’s a tragedy & it’s one that Mr. Johnson’s equity-addled Democratic Party owns … [but] the real roots of the problem lie in the city’s rotten education system.”

That rot is also known as the “Chicago Teachers Union who have sinecures at failure factories known as public schools.” How dumb does this get?  CTU President Stacy Davis Gates recently accused conservatives who criticize the union (or her) of not “even wanting Black children to be able to read” and “that is literally a part of the oath that they take to be right wing.” Clever. Especially since Ms. Gates “sends her son to private school.” And, truth be told, CTU teachers may be able to read, but can’t teach it.”
