China’s Zero-Covid Protests 3 Yrs Late?

As protests spread in PRC over more Covid lockdowns, maybe there's a lesson for Joe’s lib democracy as well as Xi’s totalitarian regime? That is, folks will only put up with so much gov’t mandating, especially if/when misguided?

The newspaper was pretty blunt in its “China’s Revolt Against Zero-Covid” policies STILL being enforced in the communist country: “Protests across the country reveal deep anger and frustration at three years of lockdowns and social control.” Yet, the WSJ also ran a related piece titled, “Public Distrust of Public Health Officials [in USA] Is Anthony Fauci’s Legacy,” thanks in large part to his waffling yet also urging draconian measures to combat the spread of Covid, which arguably never worked well and/or caused even more economic and social damage than he ever foresaw or later admitted to.

So, so much for China being a “role model” for how to limit the Covid harm that originated one way or another in its backdoor? Thank God for the limited number of pols who had the common sense & courage to resist that “zero-tolerance” policy that was, is and always will be the wrong medicine?
