Clapper’s Claptrap Brings Tears 2 Our Eyes

Not that there was any doubt. But, James Clapper joining the ranks of rank CNN pundits ranks up there with Cuomo & Lemon. “Now he tells us,” heartily laughs WSJ’s Strassel, he was misquoted on Hunter Biden scandal?

Yeah, Kim. A couple years too late. But, as you wrote in your op ed “James Clapper’s Disinformation,” the CNN analyst now incredibly accuses Politico of “distorting” the 2020 letter signed by himself and 50 other so-called ex-intel officials that the GOP House Oversight Cte apparently thinks backs up refuted claims of 2020 election meddling. Whether or not it does, says Strassel, “It is at least producing some fantastical squirming and finger pointing” as highlighted by “this week’s incredulous Clapper defense.”

Recall Clapper was Obama’s director of national intelligence & he signed that October 2020 letter suggesting the New York Post story about that scandalous laptop belonging to Hunter Biden waddled, quacked & flew like “Russian disinformation.” He then went on seemingly endless tv shows basically parroting that catch phrase. Joe of course got elected president, despite the Post story raising “ugly questions about [Hunter’s] use of the Biden family name in his foreign business dealings & the extent to which his father knew about them. With weeks to go in a close presidential campaign, the laptop bomb might have derailed Joe Biden’s White House bid. Instead, the intel cabal neutralized the threat almost overnight.” Recall, too, how that influential Politico headline had belched “Russian Disinfo” based on our intel geniuses, who wrote how “suspicious” they were of a laptop ruse that had the “classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.” That’s what the letter did say without any evidence to back it up. But, now, Clapper says the Politico story and, indeed the MSM running with the story line, “falsely implies” his letter said what it said. What claptrap?
