Constitution Controls Trump Run, Not FBI?

FBI AGAIN steps in it by raiding Trump’s home for few “classified” docs? Clinton lawyer Elias who’s tied to fake Steele Dossier 1st fed MSM idea breach of old transition law could bar 2024 bid & rads bit. Won’t happen. Here's why:

As GW’s Law Prof. Jonathan Turley reminded on a Fox News segment, he “strongly” disagrees that “Congress could pass any law” that trumps the US Constitution, which explicitly controls who can run for president & under what conditions. Moreover, the unprecedented “all-hands-on-deck raid”, especially such a tactic involving a former president, yet again raises questions of bias & targeting of political opponents. Explained Turley and in addition to the supremacy of the Constitution: The act referenced by Elias “is not heavily enforced, certainly not … criminally.” Yet, somehow, the professor marveled, Dems & MSM allies are now “gloating” over idea it’s “somehow ok for FBI to raid a former president’s home to keep him off the ballot”. Concluded Turley: “That would be hard for any court to swallow.”

Perhaps the biggest shame, Turley said, is that while the FBI overall is still the “finest” law enforcement agency in the world, its political leadership keeps “unnecessarily” getting the entire agency in the middle of one political fight after another. Think the Strzok “Trump insurance policy” crack during the two failed impeachments, the Michigan Gov Whitmer kidnapping entrapment fiasco, and the Hunter Biden “investigation” that somehow has yet to trigger either an indictment or Special Counsel, despite a growing pile of evidence. True, FBI Director Wray is a Trump appointee, but AG Garland, his boss now, owes his job to Biden. As House Minority Ldr McCarthy warned: “I’ve seen enough. The DOJ has reached an intolerable state of weaponized politicization … When Republicans take back the House, we will conduct immediate oversight of this dept.” As Prof. Turley opined: “In this age of rage, we need some adults to step forward …”
