COVID Still Kills Hundreds Daily?

NY Times & Washington Post will no longer say it as does the WSJ, but Trump hasn’t been president for over 18 months now, yet Joe’s “Covid Still Kills Hundreds in US Daily.”

As one woman who’s elderly dad recently died from Covid noted: “I don’t think people realize that this is still a big deal.” However, the ugly reality, notes author Jon Kamp, the viral “disease is on pace to remain the third-leading cause of death in the US with older and sicker people [still] among the most vulnerable.” In fact, according to CDC data, “the US has recently averaged about 320 new Covid-19 deaths each day” while “the average was above 400 before Labor Day.”

The good news is that this rate is “far below pandemic peaks, including levels above 2,500 a day during the Omicron wave early this year. But the country hasn’t matched lows closer to 200 a day reached during a lull last year.” As from the get go, btw, “roughly 85% of people who died from Covid-19 through mid-August this summer were 65 or older.” NY Times, WaPo: Isn’t this a story worth your DAILY attention as it was when you know who was POTUS?
