Crowned PM, Truss Chased Out Of Office

Truss’s resignation wasn’t that much of a surprise since her risky plan to cut taxes & increase spending triggered turmoil if not panic in the nation’s financial markets & led to a public outcry louder than “Mad” King George III after he lost the Colonies. While President Ronald Reagan & PM Margaret Thatcher got away with that kind of painful medicine to cure a nation’s floundering productivity & finances in the early years of their administration’s, Truss simply didn’t have enough support in her own party to staunch the criticism. Disclaimer: I get my authority partly from the Netflix series “The Crown”, which actress Judy Dench dubbed “fiction.”

But, I digress. Showing rare humility in a national public servant these days, Truss reversed her early moves. It only made matters worse as her political authority melted like a dish of stewed cheese served as a “chaser” after comrades spit out her serving of Ye Cheshire Cheese’s meaty kidney pudding. Now, a leadership election will be held within the next week by her own party, the third conservative to be pushed out of office in as many years.
