Cuomo Bucks ‘Pig’ Label, ‘Clown’ Moniker Not So Bad?

Fox News reports that NY papers dare ramping up pressure on “pig” Gov. Cuomo as the “woes pile up” for the embattled Democrat. I’d say the headline should have used “clown” instead of the pork chop label. You can’t think anything other than “Bozo” after watching the NY Gov. repeatedly make a fool of himself on his brother’s comical CNN ragtime show. How many times did he guffaw at sick jokes the related host made, supposedly highlighting Trump incompetence, but really at the expense of many elderly COVID-19 victims the Gov. incompetently managed? BTW, Cuomo, who like Trump famously held daily COVID briefings to air his genius, is reportedly pissed at all the criticism he’s now getting…but, he’s always pissed when criticized.

Let’s not also pile on Gov. Cuomo. He already piled on himself, despite seeing Mr. Trump’s obvious woes he also created from OVEREXPOSURE. Pols always make the mistake in believing the old saw that “any PR is good PR.” Any PR pro will tell you need to know when to stay out of the limelight or keep your mouth shut. And, during a crisis forcing you to share your wisdom, it better be short & sweet.

I still remember the mayor of a large Midwest city I was representing during a crisis scenario. Said the Mayor: “Citizens don’t want to hear how sorry you are about a problem, they want to know you are doing to fix it.”
