De Niro Survives Grinch Home Burglary

Police say Robert De Niro’s NYC townhouse was being burglarized a serial offender & the clueless actor didn’t know it? No surprise there. But, what is surprising is why a 30-yr-old with 16 such arrests this yr alone wasn’t in jail.

Consider the New York Post report that NYPD had spotted Shanice Aviles trying to get into several commercial properties on Manhattan’s Upper East Side before she apparently “set her sights” on De Niro’s rented 65th Street townhome at about 2:30 am. She was seen going down the home’s exterior stairs and got into the home “with police not far behind.” So far, it sounds like a De Niro comedy. It gets more laughable. Police say she was accosted while trying to use De Niro’s iPad and “stealing Christmas presents.”

Maybe Aviles is a female Grinch? When grabbed by police with a nightcapped De Niro apparently still sawing wood in bed, one has to wonder whether she replied to police who said she’s under arrest: “What, you talkin’ to me?”
