Dizzy Disney’s Prices In Fantasy Land
Every sane parent knows the torture in listening to Disney’s “Small, Small World” ride ad infinitum but study now shows most dads are gagging at insane price hikes by the theme park, once $3.50 & now $159 & counting…
At least, that’s the conclusion of the gambling website Time2play after asking nearly 2K “Disney World enthusiasts” what they thought of their most recent sojourn to the Wild Kingdom. The biggest take-aways: Over 68% of the suckers, er, customers say a weekend at Disney has “lost its magic” thanks to the never-ending price hikes … in 1971 it was under 4 bucks and today range from $109 to $159. Even allowing for inflation, Fox Business notes, the bill just to enter mightn’t be more than $25.60. Worse for dizzy Dis: “A whopping 92.6% reported that they believe the high costs for the park [i.e., food, drinks, etc. in addition to just getting in] has made a vacation for the average family ‘out of reach.’”
We’re told 50% of respondents said they were “postponing” a trip for all of the above. Huh? Postpone? These folks are living in Fantasy Land if they really think the Disney price tag is coming down any time soon. For me and 20 years later, I still can’t get that damn song out of my head, out of my head, out of my head …
