Does No Blow Back Joe Spell War?

Is “Biden, Iran & 3 Dead Americans” a proven recipe for WW III? Do we have the president most suited for endangering not only the safety of troops he’s put in harm’s way, but the backing they need to deter the unthinkable conflagration?

WSJ’s editorial board suggests the answer Q1 is “maybe,” & a resounding “yes” to Q2. They go one step further yet, if a minor one in the larger scheme of things, in arguing “The Commander in Chief’s weak response to [Iranian-backed] attacks puts his Presidency at risk.” Of course, the editors are alluding to the way Iran helped "ruin Jimmy Carter’ presidency" by seizing American hostages & shamefully putting them on public display for a full year. Five decades later, we STILL have chaos in the Middle East. Now, after Obama’s never ending “line in the sand,” we have Biden spending “months fretting about a broader regional war without confronting the reality that the US is already in one. The result is that US deterrence has collapsed in the region & Americans are dying” while “repeated displays of weakness are inviting more attacks.”

Iran denies responsibility. Natch. But, Trump & other critics said “enough is enough.” The editors, basically agreed, urging that the alternative to a STRONG military response now, one that hits directly home to the Iranian leadership, is the only way to stop “a growing American Body count.” But, consider also, it used to be that an attack on any American troops could trigger a Barbary Coast response, if not all out war, on the barbarians. If history is any bellwether, isn't it possible that a failure to finally show some cajoles to the latest Iranian provocations (as JFK did to Russia during the Cuban Missile Crisis) may not only set the table for 50 more years of regional war, but eventually another world-wide war? Like the totalitarian regimes of the 1930s, nuclear Iranian allies, Russia, China & North Korea, can only be watching & licking their chops, liking what they see in No Blow Back Joe ala Never See No Evil Neville.
