Don’t Need Poll Telling Us Inflation Hits Poor Hardest

A WSJ poll shows “Inflation Is Taking Biggest Toll on Nonwhite Voters,” yet, the spiraling cost of living is obviously hitting ALL folks in the lower & middle classes the hardest. Always has, always will.

So, did it really take a media poll to tell us the obvious yet again that “Black women and Hispanic men reported the highest levels of inflation worry among different demographic groups”? Of course minorities as a group are being flailed by skyrocketing prices for the necessities like gasoline, food, and heating. But, it’s misleading in this context not to agree with Karl Marx that it’s a “class” thing as much as a racial thing.” That is, inflation doesn’t know skin color, but it knows how to pick any poor or struggling man’s pocket. The WSJ suggested as much as also acknowledging: “People with the lowest incomes also were most likely to report major financial challenges from inflation. Almost half with incomes of less than $60K reported major financial strain while just 13% of those making $150K or more did so." Da.

Still, anyone but Mr. & Mrs. Got Rocks looking at a box of “family” sized Cheerios costing $6.49 might be excused for exclaiming, “WTF”.
