Dr. House The Key To Abortion Debate?

We’re told ad nauseum by Pro Choice aka Pro Abortion advocates that “no one should come between a woman & her doctor.” I’d generally agree with that prop EXCEPT I’ve never heard a persuasive answer to the Q: “What if the lady’s doc is a quack or pervert or worse?”

What? You say the tens of thousands of physicians out there in the big bad world are ALL geniuses if not saints and an unborn baby’s life can ALWAYS be left in the hands of any one of them? Have they ever watched “House”? But, more to the point is the apparent inability of many Pro Choice Advocates (and their Pro Life counterparts) to concede even a smidgeon of ground so that some kind of compromise can be reached – so that a hopelessly divided society can navigate through this eminently complex medical, social & theological Catch 22. Case in point is the Fox News item titled, “’Fascist’: Liberal critics melt down after Florida voters reject abortion rights amendment.” There we go again. Disagree with a progressive at the ballot box these days and that makes you a “fascist,” even though it’s they who thereby think, talk & act like a fascist circa Germany 1939.

Without getting into the unique Florida abortion controversy, might it be remembered that even Pro-Life President-elect Trump, has signaled a willingness to meet the Pro-Choice folks at some yet to be determined middle ground, no matter how ethically anathema it may be to him? If the most recent Fox News poll on the issue is correct, most Americans favor such a compromise. Just 7% said they think abortion should never be permitted, while about 35% think it should always be allowed; meanwhile, there’s a 43%-54% split between those favoring/not favoring an abortion ban after, for example, 15 weeks of pregnancy. If we can all agree Dr. House is an idiot, can’t we agree at some point on abortion?
