Durbin Calls 4 MORE PPP $ 2 Stop Fraud

Only after Sen Dick Durbin’s son got dicked by PPP fraudster did old time Dem admit Biden’s Covid Boondoggle (that he helped in pulling wool over taxpayers’ eyes) triggered a lot of “waste” ... he now finally says needs “more $ for oversight”?

You won’t be able to read this in the left-leaning Chicago Sun-Times (at least, not as this post is being written) but according to Fox News, “someone stole the identity of Durbin’s son & used it to get a $140,000 PPP loan.” The progressive Illinois senator finally admitted to reporters that the federal Paycheck Protection Program he supported as part of President Biden’s Covid relief funding legislation has some serious holes in it. “I think that a lot of money was wasted and stolen … I have a family example where my son was accused of defaulting on a $140,000 PPP loan for the Durbin Construction Company. There’s no Durbin construction company. His identity was stolen” to get that bogus loan. But, the senator’s solution? He’s now pushing for MORE federal money to help oversee the PPP program.

Actually, that fraud was possibly rampant in the PPP program is nothing new. Earlier this year, DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz told Fox that “fraud related to PPP loans [amounting to $669 billion in two pieces of legislation] could be upwards of $100 billion.” Well, is Dick belatedly telling us ya have to spend $ to save $?
