EU Scrambles To Unscramble Putin’s Gas

If a retreating Napoleon was defeated by Czar’s scorched earth defense in winter how could EU not have seen Putin’s cynical shutting off of his Nord Stream Pipeline & causing it an economic blow as winter approaches?

For the historical record & before progressives try to rewrite it again, it was Napoleon Bonaparte who tried mightily to unite Europe, albeit under France’s flag, and to that extent the EU was a long-overdue realization of the emperor’s dream. Not that the elitist Euros will ever give the “Corsican upstart” due credit for his vision that was ahead of its time. But surely, the EU geniuses all hell bent on transitioning today’s continent away from fossil fuels and relying mostly on alt energy could tell they were dangerously reliant on Russian natural gas to begin with; and, even more so when Putin invaded Ukraine and Joe Biden told them how smart it would be to “bring the dictator to his knees” by imposing sanctions AGAINST HIM. Surely they realized Putin was not only in a unique position to do the same sort of thing AGAINST THEM, but that, like his czarist ancestors outside Borodino, he WOULD?

And yet, we have this grave news that “European Union officials and countries race to assemble plans to cushion [the almost inevitable] impact of high energy prices. “Maybe the supposedly energy-savvy Euros would now be better off if they had STUDIED history rather than tried to ignore if not REWRITE it?
