EV Owner's Lament, “Oh For A Horse To Ride!”

As the WSJ’s editorial board recently observed: “The Biden Administration keeps throwing around billions in subsidies for electric vehicles, and the press corps keeps hailing them, but consumers don’t seem to want them. The evidence is building that this green industrial policy is a bust” as Ford slashes its F-150 Lightning truck production while increasing output of its popular gas-powered Bronco SUV & Ranger pickup. Ditto GM, which last month told its Chevy dealers to stop selling its electric Blazer SUV owing to software & other problems.

Then, there’s the Jason Rantz op ed on the Fox News website who wrote: “It only takes a weekend trip to a wedding two hours outside of a big city to realize this country is nowhere near ready for the Democrats’ clean energy revolution. It’s too bad they’re unwilling to accept reality.” And, it’s too bad there’s still plenty of other suckers out there willing to jump on the sales pitches for EVs that still have too many kinks to work right and that simply are not backed by the necessary infrastructure as promised.
