Fauci Clears Air: Retiring B4 GOP Sneezes

Somehow Politico says retiring Dr. Anthony Fauci made a “startling" admission, i.e., "we’re going to be living with” Covid for years; but even less startling was his conceding he’d retire before GOP regains power & investigates him.

First, to anyone listening to the career bureaucrat’s famous double talk since the pandemic was unleashed on us under his watch, it was pretty obvious that Covid, like influenza, was maybe going to be with us for a long time, Trump vaccines or no vaccines. But, secondly, officially, sort of, Tony also sort of just announced he’d retire “by the end of Biden’s term” which could mean, of course, tomorrow. Or, after the midterms should the Republicans take back the Senate & House and some of its more anti-Fauci members keep their promise of investigating his alleged “conflicts” with communist China, WHO & assorted gov't-subsidized hangers on researchers.

BTW: Fauci's retiring means there’s no point in “impeaching” him. “They’re going to try and come after me, anyway,” Fauci said in a rare moment of crystal clarity. “I mean, probably less so if I’m not in the job.” He added by way of clarification: “I don’t make that a consideration in my career decision.” Right. Crystal Clear.
