Federal Bureaucracy Run Like “Animal Farm”?

This little piggy went to market ... This little piggy had roast beef. And this little piggie had none. And, this little piggie cried, “We, We, We!" all the way home. Even before DOGE, didn’t we know the Swamp gives less scrutiny to its spending than a private company or family – or Animal Farm?
As Senator Ron Johnson recently opined in the WSJ: “The federal government is the largest financial entity in the world. You would think its budgeting would take the most time & effort & involve more detail than any other organization. You would be wrong.” Of course, under the leadership of Elon Musk, DOGE has uncovered daily enormous inefficiency, waste & alleged fraud in the federal bureaucracy. Yet, the average American knew about that abuse of their tax monies AND KEPT THE SAME ENABLERS IN CONGRESS AND THE WHITE HOUSE IN OFFICE YEAR AFTER YEAR. So, who’s really at fault?
Maybe this hypocrisy can be best understood in a familiar tale most of us read in college. AI tells us that in George Orwell’s “Animal Farm” it’s the beasts of burden who revolt against their master, Farmer Jones, and set up a utopian society based on equality, “but the pigs eventually seize power, leading to a dystopian outcome mirroring the original oppression.” The connection with The Swamp’s piggish behavior with Farmer Jones’ tax dollars? Consider how us voters long ago revolted against a wanton, wasteful & self-indulgent King & his court to supposedly found a democracy based on thrift, accountability & equality, but delegated the running of this new Republic to a bunch of pigs who eventually seized power, leading to a dystopian outcome mirroring the original oppression.”
