FHA Mortgages For Illegals Are Nullified

So HUD finally ended its bizarre progressive mandate to give FHA mortgages to illegal immigrants? Wasn’t the government loans supposed to benefit Americans who play by the rules in the first place?

It was with mixed feelings for many about HUD Secretary Scott Turner announcing his agency will now focus on Americans. Fox News dutifully reported it was “an effort to protect the dream of homeownership” for the nation’s citizens, not citizens of a foreign country who snuck into the US by jumping the line. The story quoted Turner who had written on X: “American taxpayers will no longer subsidize open borders by offering home loans to those who enter our nation illegally.”

You think? Yet, how did such a topsy-turvy home loan policy get instituted in the first place? Never mind. We know. Now it’s history.
