Gacy Too Fat To Bury 33+ Victims Alone?

“Killer Clown” John Wayne Gacy’s death row attorney argues in new book her Bozo likely had dozens more victims AND accomplices. Chicagoans still can’t get over the horror of 33 confirmed dead bodies as each was dug up from their graves.

As the Fox News story recounts: Karen Conti was a fledgling attorney in the early 1990s when she defended the infamous serial killer during his final death row appeals from 1993 to his execution by lethal injection May 4, 1994. I recall as if it were yesterday the daily news updates that kept getting grimmer & grimmer. While Gacy was convicted of 33 murders, Conti reveals in “Killing Time” there were likely more. “I’m almost positive … Gacy traveled during his crime spree to rural areas to do construction work … I can’t imagine why he would stop killing during that time.” Gacy’s modus operandi was to solicit young boys & men on his work sites, drug & abuse them, then, you know what before burying them under his home. But how about the possible additional victims in those secluded rural areas? We may never know. Said Conti: “We didn’t have a database that was integrated at the time, but my guess is that if … some sleuths were to go to these [rural] areas & look at these business records … they may connect the dots.” She thinks there’s up to 20 more Gacy victims.

Conti adds she’s also “convinced” Gacy likely had help from two men who lived with & had sex with Gacy during his crime spree. “It’s impossible for me to believe Gacy, who was very portly, could go down into [his home’s] crawlspace & carry bodies down there & bury them alone” in what was a labyrinth of trenches. A lone survivor had testified that Gacy had been aided by an accomplice, but prosecutors didn’t want to confuse the jury by pursuing this line of evidence, so it became a trial factoid. Some footnote.
