God Shines Light On Social Unbelievers

Tucker Carlson called out young workers in social media companies for “do nothing” to earn a pay check as Musk fired 80% of Twitter’s staff without missing a beat. Bible warned unbelievers fool only themselves?

While the Fox commentator focused on the narcissism of today’s younger generations working (and ironically being laid off in droves) in the woke social media industry also dominated by such now financially struggling companies as Facebook, Instagram & Google, the Bible reminds us how old this youthful malaise has been over the centuries. Come to think of it, as a 70’s college student, I still remember the rebellious, “values” questioning that went on to the Nth Degree over the Viet Nam War and Civil Rights Movement. As Ecclesiastes suggests, this misplaced wokeness will pass too, or at least, gain in wisdom over time. I came across this popular yet cogent Advent reading in 2 Corinthians addressing the doubts even the early Christians had over their still fledgling religion & “losing heart” in it:

“And, even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.”
