Goody! Barbie Also Laughs At Men’s Rights

Is “Barbie” a stunning “takedown” of toxic masculinity as left MSM critics say or yet another stunning heralding of toxic femininity? Remember, many are the same air heads trashing “Sound of Freedom” & panning its child trafficking message.

Maybe “Barbie” will be a bombshell that meets the fantasies of these self-appointed critics who gave it a 89% favorable Rotten Tomatoes rating. As a Fox News story noted, “one reviewer called ‘Barbie’ the ‘most captivating & unwavering feminist summer blockbuster ever to exist.’” According to The Wrap, “Once an equal parts fascinating & controversial Mattel toy, both loved & hated – a tiny-waist, vacuously smiling, slender doll designed like a straight -male fantasy – is now the complicate feminist symbol of empowerment” in the director’s hands. Said The Globe & Mail: “Barbie is both a master’s thesis on feminism & an Austin Powers-esque romp.” Opined writer Maddy Myers (Who?): “The Barbie movie finds all the fun in laughing at the men’s rights movement … tied up with a pretty pink wrapper.”

Can’t wait to see this disturbing anti-male exercise with my wife as she holds my leash & counts the popcorn kernels she allows me to eat. As for Austin-Powers? Wasn’t he the ultimate Male Chauvinist? Anyone remember that toxic anti-male Gillette or Bud Light commercials? Frankly, the early Barbie hyperbole reminds me of the hyperbole leading up to Disney’s latest bomb aka “Indiana Jones 5.” If the movie were really great AT ANY LEVEL there would be no need for the studio to get these over-the-top reviews out there. As it happens, Variety says opening day sales was a biggie, along with Oppenheimer. We’ll see, if the post-buzz bash lasts. Meanwhile, can I PLEASE have a sip of (y)our Slurpie, Sweetie?
