Some pundits have already pointed out it will take a MIRACLE for a divided Swamp to get anything done before the 2024 presidential elections. Not that the last two years of the Biden Administration accomplished much besides emptying the Treasury, the contrarian party-line propaganda notwithstanding. Maybe without Big Brother’s help, fewer people will die from Covid; our kids can learn how to read, write & count rather than change genders; inflation fueled by out-of-control government spending won’t get even worse; gangbangers will get tired of wreaking havoc on their inner-city neighbors; and North Korea will stop sending missiles toward Japan.

As WSJ summed it up: “Republicans’ narrow control of the House will likely shatter the chances of any major legislation, stoke divisions with the GOP & put Pres. Biden on defense.” Well, did anyone feel confident the hopelessly divided Congress was suddenly going to kiss and make up, regardless? On the other hand, whoever thought doing nothing by the peanut eating pols in DC might not be such a bad thing?
