Gotcha WaPo Gets Taste Of Own Medicine

WaPo is reeling from a self-flagellating “Week From Hell” that included 1 gaffe after another yet doesn’t realize it’s “Dying in Darkness” as Fla Gov blew off another “smear” piece with “We no longer care what you think.”

Ouch. First, the Week From Hell noted by Fox News. The lengthy story & a related Jesse Watters “meltdown” segment was mostly about Amber Heard’s slash ACLU’s op-ed that led to Johnny Depp’s $15M defamation verdict & opened the newspaper to possible legal liability as well. Then, they segued into Taylor Lorenz’s reporting” criticizing WaPo coverage of the Depp-Heard trial and an endless back & forth between colleagues & critics & whatever. As if the “once-revered news organization that famously exposed the Watergate scandal” didn’t have enough grief on its plate from previously “declaring the coronavirus lab-leak theory a ‘debunked … conspiracy’ to quickly rejecting the Hunter Biden laptop scandal in the final weeks of the 2020 presidential election.”

But, as if WaPo were Joe Biden & STILL did not learn from shooting off its mouth to advance a left-leaning political agenda, the paper’s editors ran what Fla Gov Ron DeSantis called “a totally ridiculous attempted smear” of his press sec Christina Pushaw of potentially violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act (ala Hunter?); that is, for belatedly registering for getting $25K (partly to cover living expenses) after doing some PR over a two-yr period circa 2018 for the former president of Eastern Europe’s Georgia who was advocating for free elections & democratic institutions there. Concluded Gov DeSantis: “I would be much more concerned with my press secretary if the Washington Post was writing puff pieces about her … then, I would think something was wrong.”
