Grid Crisis & Lump of Coal for Green Pols

WSJ warns “The Christmas Electric Grid Emergency” is a harbinger as the “strain caused by climate policies left too many Americans shivering over [last] weekend.” Yet, it was “too predictable to anyone paying attention”?!

It’s not all that complicated. As the newspaper’s editors explained: “The interconnected US grid is supposed to be a source of resilience, but the government’s force-fed green energy transition is creating systemic vulnerabilities that politicians don’t want to acknowledge.” As a result, utilities and grid operators subject to the legal as well as political pressure “weren’t prepared for the surge in demand for natural gas and electricity to heat homes, which occurred as gas supply shortages and icy temperatures forced many power plants off-line.”

It's starting to sound like one of those Hollywood Armageddon horror flicks, only in this case, the short-sighted politicians responsible for the predictable existential meltdown are progressives and their clueless leader looks, rants and in the end mutters like Bernie Sanders after seeing a lump of coal in his Christmas stocking.
