Gutfeld’s Gut Feeling: US Now Run By Cynical “Idiots”

Fox’s Greg Gutfeld may be onto something when he said US is now run by “idiots” after WaPo reported the Taliban had “offered to let US secure Kabul” but was rejected because “we didn’t have enough troops” left in Afghanistan.

Apparently, the Biden team led by Afghan Joe blew off the bipartisan group of Congressmen BEGGING them to send more troops and extend the foolishly arbitrary deadline on the president’s mindboggling premise that “30 or 60 additional days would not have made any difference” in the chaos he & his advisors had baked into their withdrawal “plan.” As the WSJ’s William McGurn recently opined, Biden’s “plan” WAS to do nothing of the kind, “betting on Americans’ cynicism” & thinking his “top priority was to use the 20th anniversary of 9/11 to take a victory lap as the president who ended America’s longest war.”

If so, Joe badly misjudged Americans. Like Lincoln, Mr. McGurn concluded, presidents honored with greatness “appeal to the better angels of our nature … [and that’s] not this one.”
